This course is essential for anyone serving or supplying alcohol on a licensed premise.
If you are thinking of beginning your pathway into the Hospitality Industry then this is the course to start with.
Course objectives:
- Correctly interpret the legal responsibilities that relate to the sale and service of alcohol
- Advise patrons on the effects of alcoholic beverages and the term 'standard drink'
- Demonstrate knowledge of various strategies for the Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Assist customer to drink within appropriate limits
- Assess and monitor the levels of intoxication of Patrons
This course is a requirement of the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner when applying to become a 'Responsible Person.' The course does not entitle the attendee to automatic approval, the Consumer and Business Services (CBS) application process must still be followed.
Assessment: This unit has a written assessment, participants must demonstrate competence and understanding of the Responsible Service of Alcohol, If you have literacy difficulties then a trainer may be able to assist you with a verbal assessment.
